После двухнедельного перерыва NVIDIA решила выпустить новый драйвер WHQL для своих видеокарт. В версии 398.11 WHQL присутствуют не только привычные исправления ошибок, но и добавлен новый профиль SLI, два профиля Game Ready и четыре 3D Vision. Также драйвер позволяет подключать к ПК HDR-дисплей с поддержкой G-Sync.
Как можно видеть по изменениям Changelog, новый драйвер обеспечивает "наилучший геймплей на HDR-совместимых дисплеях G-Sync ". Первые подобные дисплеи появятся в магазинах в ближайшие несколько дней, хотя мы еще несколько недель назад смогли оценить преимущества сочетания HDR и G-Sync.
Среди других важных компонентов GeForce 398.11 WHQL можно отметить:
- Профиль Game Ready для Vampyr и Jurassic World Evolution
- Профиль SLI для "Warhammer: Mine 2"
- Профиль 3D Vision для Jurassic World Evolution (Good), Railway Empire (Not Recommended, Sea of Thieves (Not Recommended) и Vampyr (Not Recommended)
Исправлены вылеты при активной HDR с низким разрешением SLI в "Hitman", а также некорректное отображение опции Surround в "Call of Duty: WWII".
Но несколько проблем остаются нерешенными:

enabled, there is flickering corruption when hovering the mouse over the game screen. [200408410] - [GeForce TITAN (Kepler-based)]: The OS fails after installing the graphics card on a
Threadripper-enabled motherboard. [1973303] - [Pascal GPUs][Gears of War 4]: Blue-screen crash may occur while playing the game.
[2008731] - [Netflix Edge Browser]: When playing a game in full-screen mode and playing a video
from the Netflix Edge Browser, blue-screen crash occurs after multiple [Alt+Tab] switching between the two. [200415750] - [Dead by Daylight]: NVIDIA Freestyle does not work with the game. [2116198]
- [NVIDIA Control Panel][Surround]: NVIDIA Surround hot keys do not work.
[200394749] - Random DPC watchdog violation errors occur when using multiple GPUs on
motherboards with PLX chips. [2079538] - With HDR turned on, non HDR full-screen video playback may cause corruption/
